About Malas

Historically used in prayer and meditation, a Mala is a necklace with 108 beads, each separated by one knot.

The stones used to create the Mala are selected based on their healing properties and are a reminder of one's intentions. Each knot is a symbol of a pause, a breath, between moments, to help one to live in the present.

The 27th and 82nd stones are marker beads and the one outside the circle, at the very bottom is the Guru bead, which represents one's true nature or affirmation.

Mala bracelets are an alternative to a meditation necklace. Although they do not have a knot in between each stone, wearing them on bare skin can provide comfort.

All creations are handcrafted with careful attention.
